The increasing development of using renewable energy resources and electric vehicles shows that industrial electronic converters and electric machines will be among the basic needs of a country's development and progress in the near future. Accordingly, in order to educate undergraduate students and conduct applied research by graduate students, the industrial electronics and electric machines design laboratory have been set up at Bushehr Persian Gulf University. The research group of "design of special electric machines" related to this laboratory has also begun. In this lab, students become familiar with the structure of electronic power converters and how they work, and observe the structure of commercial converters. Research and development on electrical machines, including reluctance machines, BLDC machines, PMSMs and Vernier PM Machines are pursued. The speed ​​control of these special electric machines is another field of research related to this laboratory.
