About
History and Vision
The Faculty of Intelligent Systems Engineering and Data Science is one of the newly established and strategic faculties of Persian Gulf University, which began its official activities in October 2020 (Mehr 1399) with four programs: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics and Applications, and Statistics. The fundamental philosophy of this faculty is to keep pace with the accelerating rhythm of science and technology, particularly in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Intelligent Systems, and Applied Mathematics; an aspiration that is being pursued with the presence of esteemed professors and motivated, talented students.
Relying on its scientific, laboratory, and research capacities, this faculty aims to become one of the scientific hubs of the south of the country and the region, and by developing interdisciplinary research, to meet the growing needs of industry, technology, and society. Becoming a regional scientific hub in the fields of intelligent electrical engineering, data science, and applied mathematics; relying on interdisciplinary research, emerging technologies, and national and international collaborations.
Educating the New Generation
Training graduates who, in addition to theoretical knowledge, possess the practical and applied skills necessary to enter industry, entrepreneurship, and continue their studies at the highest academic levels.
Interdisciplinary Research
Developing joint research between mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, and computer engineering in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, intelligent control systems, and big data analytics.
Internationalization
Attracting international students, developing scientific collaborations with reputable universities worldwide, and active participation of faculty members in international scientific forums.
Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations
Fostering a culture of entrepreneurship in students, establishing knowledge-based companies, and building effective links between the university and industry to solve real-world problems.
Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility
Playing an effective role in addressing regional and national challenges by leveraging the faculty's scientific capacity, with special attention to professional ethics, the environment, and social responsibility.
